CB Superthumb

This is an excellent little module that works with Community builder to enhance the social networking feel of Joomla / CB a website. It has several functions which include the ability to display thumbnails of random users, latest users, latest login, most popular users, latest profile updates, latest profile book, latest upload pony gallery, latest upload RS gallery 2 and friend connections. You can see this module in operation on Joomlaplazza under the following tabs on the front page: Random user, latest login, popular user, profile update. I’m also using it under the friends tab next to groups. As you can see it’s a very versatile module for displaying thumbnails of CB user profile avatars and it can be downloaded from www.templateplazza.com.

MiniFrontPage

MiniFrontpage is currently used to display the latest Articles section on the Joomlaplazza front page.  I won’t go into detail about this module myself I will simply quote what the module authors have to say

provides you with a lightweight but powerful news headline style of your most recent content items. It's just not only to show case your latest news item, but you can show any latest or most read articles from preferred section(s) or category(s) that can be set up from the module parameters. There are also options to set it using one, two or three headline articles column format plus one column for another stories link. Or you can also have your headline story formatted vertically with one column for one headline article like the right module's Business Week

Mamblog latest posts with CB avatars

This is a modified version of the Mamblog latest posts module that has been altered to display a thumbnail of the users CB avatar. This module simply displays the latest blog posts on the site with a link to the user’s blog. I modified this module myself to also show the CB avatar of the user who made the blog entry and link back to their CB profile. You can see this module in operation under the latest Blog tab on the Joomlaplazza front page.  This module is free to download from Joomlaplazza but obviously mamblog is required to use this module.

FB Latest with CB avatars

This is the Fireboard Latest posts module which has been altered to display the CB avatar of the user who made the forum post. This module simply Displays the latest Fireboard forum posts with a link back to the post and has been modified by me to also show the user who made the posts CB avatars and link back to their CB profile. You can see this module in operation under the latest forum tab on the Joomlaplazza front page. This module is free to download from Joomlaplazza.

Mod_jomlatest 

This is the latest comments tab and displays most recent comments posted via JomComment. This module comes with the JomComment package and is currently being displayed under the Latest comments tab on the Joomlaplazza front page. I have yet to modify this module to display CB avatars but it’s on my to-do list.

Showcase Single Member 

This module is currently in use on Joomlaplazza under the title Member showcase I quote from the author:

This module allows you to showcase a single member, with a MooTools bubbletip. Whereas Joomla modules typically contain some small number of options, this module gives webmasters control over much of the HTML and CSS that the module generates, as well as the javascript, right from the administrator backend.

Login

This is the standard CB login module that comes with the Community builder package.

Inbox

This is mod_pmsnotify which comes with the PMS enhanced covered earlier in the article.

Groups

This is mod_mygroups which is part of the Groupjive package discussed earlier in the article. This module displays the groups individual users have joined.

Friends

This is CB Superthumb which has been discussed earlier in the article.

Whos Online

This is the standard who’s online module that shows the number of guests and registered users which comes as standard in Joomla.

Total users

This is Mod_cbtotalusers and is commonly available module that displays statistics about registered user in Community builder.

RSS-Subscribe

This is simply a custom module creates in the Joomla administration via the modules/new button. It’s just a link to my RSS feed subscription created in the WSIWYG editor.
