You wanted me to create a fully German version to sell on the site correct?

But as far as I am aware all you have to do is convert it to German as you would any joomla site? That includes loading the correct language packs for all the installed components id assume?

You see I know next to nothing about the langauge issues in Joomla and have never really given it any thought because I am an English only speaking person and dont have these issues. I have always just assumed that converting the site to another language is the responsibilty of the website owner. Sorry if I seem ignorant buddy.

Yeah u can use the donation button, Then email me your cpanel details and FTP details and Ill get onto installing it on the server for you.

cheers

*Flying around with the ROFLcopter*

I´m sorry buddy. It was my fault. I made myself not exactly clear.

1.What i meant was: I want your JoomlaPlazza. I´m german.
Which means I (!) have to bring all the modules in the right versions (Joomla 1.015, CB 1.1, Fireboard 1.whatever, etc.) into german language anyway. (and i tell you often this is not that simple as it sounds)

So my thought was: if i have to do it anyway, i could provide(!) you with the necessary files for a german JoomlaPlazza version. Maybe i can even include them directly into an "Installfile". Even like the one you have for your standard english speaking customers.
So you can offer JoomlaPlazza on your site without having done a single thing. So i wanted "to join your team" in some way...
I could imagine that would open the complete german speaking market to you.
One of the JommlaPlazza ideas is simplicity for the customer (i think). But the german users who aren´t that skillful, but interested in JoomlaPlazza could never ever bring it to german.
Is it now clear to you what i want? Hope so

2. How will u handle updates for JoomlaPlazza. I´ve seen you (for sure) have noticed Version 1.2 RC2 of the Community Builder. And as it is announced you provoked this question from me XD…
Will buyers of JP get at least this update for free (or less)?

3. I´d like to do the installation myself if you don´t mind. I assume it is:
- creating a database
- importing the sql backup with PHPMyadmin
- copying the Joomla files onto the server
- edit the Joomla configuration.php
Or do you really have to install all the modules from the ground up?

So… i hope my Paypal Account works. Had some problems with it lately…

1.

ok I understand what you meant now. Hmm Ill give it some thought but I fear id have to start providing a version for every language under the sun. Id rather leave it up to users to do that sort of thing. Once the site is up and running I dont offer any more support really. As it would be never ending! What I keep trying to make clear is that Joomla although meant to be a soultion for people who are not web experts, when building complex websites you still need to have some knowledge. My files are not for total beginners with no clue, its as simple as that. You really should have at least a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and SQL before you even start to think about running a social networking web site Joomla or not.

2. Well once you have the site working just upgrade cb in the normal way! Save a copy of the xtdUserProfile.php. Add the hack to the new version of cb and then past in the xtdUserProfile.php.

I can do this for you if you want when I install the site.

3.The installation is in a ready to use install zip file and installs much like a normal version of joomla. Id rather do the install because things can go wrong and it would be simpler and faster for me to do it.

Hope that answers your questions mate.
